Teams from Holman, Pattonville Heights and Remington Traditional competed with 21 other schools. The event also featured three different author visits. Read more ... Watch the 2021 virtual District Appreciation Night ceremony District Published: 03 May 2021 Pattonville's virtual District Appreciation Night ceremony was held on May 3. The event, which celebrates staff and volunteers who make a difference in supporting Pattonville students and schools, included pre-recorded video as well as live surprise announcements of the district's Teacher and Support Staff of the Year honorees for 2021. View the District Appreciation Night program here: http://bit.ly/DANprogram2021 Middle schoolers participate in Model UN District Published: 29 April 2021 All in-person and virtual SIGMA students at Pattonville Heights Middle School participated in Model UN virtual sessions this week hosted by Civitas. Today, the eighth graders taught by gifted teacher Lori Kappler met with 80 other students from area schools to participate in a mock UN General Assembly. Gifted students taught by Christina Elkins at Holman Middle School also participated in the event. Model UN is an activity in which students typically roleplay delegates to the United Nations and simulate UN committees. It challenges students to develop and utilize their research, public speaking, debate, and writing skills, as well as their critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership abilities. Read more ... Richter selected as Middle/Junior High Art Educator of the Year District Published: 29 March 2021 Holman Middle School art teacher Montie Richter was selected as the 2021 Middle/Junior High Art Educator of the Year. She was announced as the recipient in January and was officially recognized during the awards program of the Missouri Art Education Association (MAEA) spring conference on March 27. Read more ... Vaccines available for Pattonville families, students aged 16 and up District Published: 27 April 2021 Thanks to a partnership with the Pattonville Fire Protection District, we are offering a vaccine clinic specifically for Pattonville families and students aged 16 and older. Pattonville fire department representatives will be on hand to administer the Pfizer vaccine, which is approved by the federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use on students aged 16 and older.
